Photography has been my passion from the age of 13. I built my own dark room and began to explore the wonders of analogue photography. My recurrent themes are abandonded places, rural and urban decay as well as botanical macro photography. I am interested in decaying objects, abandoned places and the microstructures and patterns of natural elements, especially dried flowers, and plants. New worlds appear from the decaying object telling stories about the past or the innate nature and composition of the constructed or organic material. After the introduction of digital cameras I have mainly used digital DSRL and digital cameras. I edit and create photos and digital collages in Adobe Photoshop and Lightrooom.
Decaying structural elements and deteriorating walls and posters inspire me. They form new artworks and unveil layers from a forgotten past. Abandoned buildings consumed by the surrounding nature blurring the distinction between nature and man-made. I create collages from abandoned building wall layers and remnants with a patinated surface.
Through my macro lens I explore the decomposing state of natural elements and their micro world. Exploring foliage vascular structure and micropatterns of leaf skeletons. I discover sculptural capacities in dried and withered flowers revealing patterns of perish.
